Chibuike Josh Alfred, also known as Josh2Funny, is a popular social media personality and content creator who has played down competition in the Nigerian content creation industry.
In his remarks regarding the competition in this field, he dismissed the notion of any competing force within the Nigerian comedy industry at large because of how his skits have been interpreted into various languages across Europe and Asia.
“Oh well, let me tell you something; I don’t even understand myself anymore. My comedy is translated into Mandarin, Hindi, Russian, French… Fuck y’all bro! I am not anybody’s mate in this comedy industry,”
Also he further explained that people who said in some way that there was no competition in the industry were just hiding these developments.
“Don’t allow anyone to deceive you by saying there is no competition in comedy business.”
Additionally, he also accused others from copying his style without giving him credit for many years back.
