Flavour N’abania, the Nigerian highlife singer Also Known as Chinedu Okoli, lost his father. On Wednesday, the artist shared on social media the news of Benjamin Onyemaechi Okoli’s passing.
He showed his father an old video of him serenading him on the guitar. He wrote, “My father, papa Ijele, rest well,” in the description that went with the photo.
But Flavour remained silent about the cause of his demise and the exact day of his passing.
Condolences have been left in the post’s comments section by admirers and coworkers.
Flavour was born in Enugu and is well-known for his ability to sing Igbo songs with ease. At the age of 13, he started playing the drums for his church choir.
Flavour’s debut album, “N’abania,” was published by Obaino Music in 2005. Eight albums have been released by him since then.
