FULL LIST: AMVCA-winning Nollywood actors with the most awards
At the Eko Hotel and Suites in Lagos State on Saturday, the 10th Africa Magic Viewers’ Choice Awards took place.
MultiChoice presents the AMVCA, an annual award that honors exceptional accomplishments in film and television.
The Nollywood actors with the most AMVCA awards are listed below.
1. Funke Akindele (six-time winner) With six AMVCA victories.
Funke Akindele stands out as a versatile actor who can play both comedy and drama.
Akindele, who is well-known for playing a variety of characters, has shown excellence in comedy and won the AMVCA’s Best Actress in a Comedy title. For her part in the historic “A Tribe Called Judah,” the celebrated director is nominated again this year for Best Lead Actress.
For the same movie, she is also a candidate for Best Writing in a Motion Picture.
2. Osas Ighodaro (Triple Honors).
Nollywood actress Osas Ighodaro is a rising star in the entertainment business who never fails to dazzle audiences with her extraordinary talent and captivating performances.
She won the 2022 Oscar for “Best Actress in a Movie/Drama Series” thanks to her incredible performance in “Rattlesnake: The Ahanna Story.” That same year, she also won the title of “Best Dressed Female.” She took home the AMVCA’s 2023 “Best Actress in a Movie/Drama” trophy for her performance in “Man of God.”

OC Ukeje is an actor, musician, and model from Nigeria. For the roles of Best Actor in a Drama in Two Brides and a Baby (2013) and Best Actor in a Drama in Confusion Na Wa (2015), he received AMVCA awards.
8. Odunlade Adekola (Two Awards)
