Funke Akindele, a well-known Nigerian actress, has accused her estranged husband, Abdulrasheed Bello, also known as JJC Skillz, of failing to provide for their children.

According to Naija Wahala, the separated couple married in 2016 and had twins in 2018.

In June 2022, JJC Skillz announced his separation from the actress on his Instagram page.

However, in her most recent interview with media personality Chude Jideonwo, the actress disclosed that she is the only one raising their children. He stated, “I’m making this announcement to clear the public that we both are pursuing separate lives. We still have issues like the custody and wellbeing of our children to be addressed, as well as business interests which need to be disentangled but I have no doubt that these will be resolved in one way or another.”

While commenting about her loss during the 2023 election, Akindele stated she was depressed and went through a lot after her mother’s death.
She said: “I do not like to mourn. I recall wanting to leave as soon as possible after my mother passed away. I prefer to leave a situation as soon as possible. I don’t let myself cry, and it had an impact on me following my mother’s passing. And I nearly lost my life.

Something happened online, and my heart was hurting. I said, “You all should leave me alone,” as I went live on social media for the first time. Do I know this person? No, this person came to act in my movie, was paid, and went. Do you understand what I’m going through? Why are you accusing me of something I didn’t do wrong? I have to return to work and make a living because I lost my mother, my marriage failed, and I lost in politics. You are causing me stress because I am raising my kids by myself. So, for the first time, I cried. I broke down for weeks.”
