The rapidly rising Nigerian musician Olusipe David, better known by his stage name Spyro, has explained why he has been putting off his tour of Canada.
The “Who’s Your Guy” hitmaker stated on Instagram that he is hesitant to visit Canada after a Canadian woman crushed his heart back there. When she broke up with him due to a misunderstanding, he claimed to have seen a “future” with her and was even close to popping the question.
“Today, Canada, I want to be really honest. I pushed this tour as far as I could because I was still getting over a bad breakup with one of your females there. Very hurtful, as I imagined a future with us,” he remarked.
“I already bought her a ring, and then she abruptly ended our relationship. Why? Because a female friend of mine made out with her after I bought her something she needed, and I wanted to be honest, so I told her, which set off a chain of events that ultimately ended our relationship.
“I hated Canada and everything associated with it ever since, but my pastor’s sermons have helped me to recover. It is time, Canada.
The 33-year-old will take the stage in the nation of North America on June 14. In November 2022, Spyro released the blockbuster song “Who Is Your Guy,” which catapulted him to fame.
His talent has been acknowledged with multiple awards. The singer said in April that he wanted he could had prior to being famous discovered love.
