The Lion Sleeps Tonight” was originally written and first recorded in 1939 by South African singer and music composer Solomon Linda whichwas tittled “Mbube” and was written in Zulu, while those of the English one were later written by George David Weiss.
TIn 1961 The Tokens vocal group from Brooklyn now officially Released their own version from the album The Lion Sleeps Tonight.
